Infra Delivery Install Technicians collaborate with cross‑functional teams, troubleshoot complex technical scenarios, and implement strategic solutions that keep our network running seamlessly.
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep customers continually accessing the innovation they rely on.
In this role you’ll join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Physical Requirements- Regularly lift or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 environment, participate in primary responder rotation, and provide after‑hours support as needed.
- Work in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments.
- Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.
- Travel to or commute between data center locations as needed (over 50 miles).
- Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training periods or until assigned facility is operational.
- Travel frequency will vary based on business needs and operational status of assigned facility.
- Move and implement large enterprise equipment.
- Install fiber and copper cabling and patch cabling between equipment.
- Ensure proper safety and security standards during cabling and rack installation.
- Follow established hardware installation procedures and perform break‑fix activities.
- Use material handling tools and equipment safely.
- Travel within and outside the regional work area; maintain reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license (company transportation not provided).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations.
- Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment.
- Industry standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+).
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
