IT Support, Systems Engineer
Join CACI International Inc as a SIGINT Operations Support Engineer and play a crucial role in supporting counter‑unmanned aircraft systems (C‑UAS) mission sustainment.
The OpportunityAs a Sterling, VA based Operations Support Specialist, you will provide tier‑1 and tier‑2 maintenance for globally deployed signal processing systems. Your job requires strong customer‑service skills, problem‑solving, incident management, and clear communication. You will learn and maintain system availability while improving customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Support various projects across US Navy and Air Force teams.
- Provide first and second level support for inbound incidents and service requests.
- Offer front‑line phone and email support related to system and application issues.
- Maintain a high comfort level working with technology at a fast pace.
- Quickly diagnose and resolve or route issues according to type and severity.
- Communicate effectively over the phone, listening to customer descriptions to derive root problems.
- Multi‑task, document issues, and troubleshoot while speaking to a customer.
- Teach others how to triage and troubleshoot complex IT problems.
- Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools for DoD customers.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline, with 3+ years of related experience. Five (5) years of additional experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum TS/SCI clearance to begin employment; ongoing employment requires TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
- Proficiency in Bash shell scripting.
- Familiarity with radio frequency (RF) systems and test equipment (spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, signal generator, multimeter, etc.).
- Experience troubleshooting Linux‑based operating systems.
- Experience with computer networking infrastructure products such as servers, switches, firewalls, and routers.
- Experience with client/server architectures.
- Linux Essentials certification.
- Ability to configure a variety of hardware components.
- Experience coordinating and installing systems at customer locations.
- Experience with C-UAS and/or RF software and hardware systems.
- Experience with DSP software and hardware.
- Understanding of SDR (Software Defined Radio) systems.
- Desired certifications:
Security+ or CISSP.

The proposed salary range for this position is $79,400 – $162,700
. Final salary is influenced by geographic location, federal contract categories, prior experience, education, certifications, and other factors.
