Network Engineer - Onsite - Secret Clearance Required

As a Network Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Diplomatic Security Service at the Department of State. You will play a crucial role in installing, operating, and maintaining network infrastructure.

• Support the network architecture running crucial analytic applications.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and reliable operation of various network appliances and infrastructure hardware for ensuring system availability and reliability.
• Monitor, maintain, support, and optimize all networked software associated operating systems.
• Analyzes and implements DOS Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to ensure the security of the network architecture.
• Participate in the upgrading of operating systems and design of network enhancements.
• Provides input on new or existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to network administration.
• Develop and maintain network architecture diagrams.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
• Experience:
  
  5+ years of related experience
• Technical skills:
  Cisco, IPSec Tunnels, Network Engineering, Network Security
• Security clearance level:
  Possess and maintain a Secret clearance
• US citizenship required
• Role requirements:
  
  On site

CompTIA Security + Preferred

The likely salary range for this position is $107,744 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
