Location with zip code: Sterling, VA 20164
Duration: 6+ months
Shift Timing (Day/ Evening/ Night): First Shift /
Hours : 40hr/week
Pay Rate: $45 - $50/hr on w2 basis
Job Description- This position is for an Engineering Services Support Technician.
- Performs complex technical tasks which contribute to the planning and execution of engineering projects.
- Collaborates with higher level support staff to confer with engineers on details and implications of test procedures and results.
- Assist in orienting, training, and assigning work of technical/business support employees.
- Works under minimal supervision to provide technical support to engineers on a variety of engineering tasks.
- Performs moderate to complex technical tasks which contribute to the planning and execution of engineering projects.
- Reviews illustration of workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, or machine utilization.
- Operates, inspects and maintains test setups and equipment to detect malfunctions.
- Conducts moderate to complex materials test and analysis.
- Collaborates with higher level support staff to confer with engineers on details and implications of test procedures and results.
- Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks.
- Plans and executes experiments and gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes to support engineering disciplines.
- Analyzes, maintains, compiles and formats data and design changes.
- Produces drawings, reports and engineering documentation.
- Performs research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification or electronic or electro‑mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems.
- Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with component level troubleshooting.
- Experience with fine pitch soldering, circuit card assembly rework, complex electro/ mechanical assembly, acceptance testing.
- Military Experience
- J-STD Solder Certifications a plus
- Experience working in a lab or production environment
- Organization and basic project management skills
