This opportunity is with one of the nations leading electrical contractors, recognized for innovation, integrity, and world-class project execution. The company combines expert craftsmanship with cutting‑edge Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) technology to deliver high‑performance electrical systems across mission‑critical, data center, healthcare, commercial, and industrial projects.

Role Overview

The Electrical BIM Manager leads all digital modeling and coordination efforts for major electrical projects, ensuring models are accurate, fully coordinated, and aligned with construction and prefabrication goals. Serving as the key connection between design, field operations, and project leadership, this role drives efficiency, quality, and constructibility throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include managing BIM teams, developing project standards, and overseeing model execution from project setup through turnover. The BIM Manager also acts as the organizations subject matter expert for BIM tools, workflows, and best practices, directly influencing field productivity and project success.

The ideal candidate combines technical mastery of BIM/VDC platforms with strong leadership and communication skills, capable of guiding both teams and projects toward seamless digital coordination and delivery excellence.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of BIM Modelers and Coordinators, providing mentorship, training, and performance feedback.
  • Establish and maintain modeling standards, templates, and content libraries to ensure consistency across projects.
  • Coordinate with other trades and disciplines using Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and Revit for clash detection and resolution.
  • Review and approve model‑based deliverables, ensuring accuracy, constructibility, and alignment with project milestones.
  • Interface with project management, engineering, and field teams to ensure models support fabrication and installation needs.
  • Participate in coordination meetings, guiding discussion toward practical, field‑driven solutions.
  • Manage file sharing, version control, and BIM execution plans (BEPs) for assigned projects.
  • Provide technical expertise on Revit MEP, content creation, and interoperability with fabrication tools.
  • Support integration of prefabrication and field technology (e.g., Trimble, Total Station layout, AR/VR visualization).
Required Background
  • 5+ years of BIM/VDC experience within the electrical, MEP, or construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Revit (MEP) with deep understanding of electrical system modeling and coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of Navisworks Manage, clash detection workflows, and issue tracking.
  • Experience leading teams of modelers or coordinating across multiple disciplines.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Bluebeam, and common collaboration platforms.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate design intent into constructible models.
  • Detail‑oriented, proactive, and organized with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
  • Competitive salary based on experience and location.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • HSA option with employer contributions.
  • Paid time off and holidays.
  • Exposure to high‑profile commercial building systems projects with upward mobility into higher BIM/model roles (Modeler II, Lead) as you build competence and ownership.
