Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Technician to support the design, fabrication, and integration of mechanical components for advanced sensor systems mounted on the Polaris MRZR (4-seat variant). This role involves hands‑on fabrication and assembly of ruggedized mounting solutions, ensuring optimal space utilization and operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in implementing mechanical design plans for MRZR‑mounted systems.
- Fabricate and assemble mechanical mounting brackets and apparatus for all components, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
- Support selection and installation of mounting points on the MRZR, considering: human factors and operator ergonomics, maximizing payload bed space for mission equipment, and optional mission equipment rack in rear seating area.
- Ensure all components mount below the highest point of the stock MRZR design; enable optional elevation of RF sensor mast above roll cage post‑deployment.
- Route and secure cable runs for ruggedness and resistance to damage during aggressive vehicle operation.
- Apply durable coatings to components, matching stock vehicle color where practical.
- Fabricate all mechanical designs in sufficient quantity for three (3) MRZR kits.
- Collaborate with engineering team to integrate RF interference considerations into mounting solutions.

Required Qualifications- Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Hands‑on experience in mechanical fabrication, assembly, and installation.
- Proficiency with tools and techniques for ruggedized vehicle integration.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and CAD models.
- Eligible for US DoD Clearance
- Experience with Polaris MRZR or similar tactical vehicles.
- Knowledge of coatings and finishes for military‑grade durability.
- Familiarity with cable routing for harsh environments.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
