Accounting Manager

Overview

Salary: $110,000 – $130,000 + discretionary bonus

Location: DC Metro Area (must be local)

Office Situation: 100% Remote (DC, VA or MD residency required)

• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Oversee general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Manage AP, AR, billing, and cash receipts
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
• Perform P&L analysis and variance reporting
• Support medical claims accounting for assigned contracts
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Supervise and review work of accounting staff

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior experience as an Accounting Manager or similar level role
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Hands-on experience with general ledger accounting, financial reporting, month-end close and AP / AR
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
• Experience managing or supervising accounting staff
• Demonstrated job stability and solid tenure
