Position: Accountant (Payroll Specialist)

Overview

RealREPP, a full-service recruiting firm, is partnering with a growing, employee-owned organization to assist in hiring an Accountant. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Process weekly payroll and ensure time is approved, documented, and accurate.
  • Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, changes, and terminations.
  • Track and report paid time off balances, including sick and safe leave.
  • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and coordinate necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal payroll and leave regulations.
  • Prepare payroll, compliance, and job cost reports; support audits as needed.
  • Collaborate with payroll teams to communicate payroll information accurately and confidentially.
  • Assist with special projects as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience; 6+ years of payroll experience.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with payroll systems.
  • Solid problem-solving and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
