Duties
Oversees industrial engineering team and is responsible for promoting the effective and efficient use of people, machines, materials and information establishing flow to achieve new standards of safety, quality, delivery and cost in product manufacturing and customer service. Employs lean manufacturing principles and tools to promote continuous improvement efforts in all manufacturing functions; leads capacity analysis across all the departments in the value stream in order to identify constraints and works on associated problem‑solving initiatives;
identifies, leads, and participates in "rapid improvement (kaizen) events" aimed at mitigating constraints and/or addressing wastes; conducts ongoing and as‑needed data analysis to provide pertinent information for Senior management for optimum Sales & Operations planning; designs and maintains manufacturing layout to enable efficient work flow and plan for future growth; uses benchmark, statistical analysis and data‑based approach to verify and approve time and method standards and cost estimates for new and existing processes and ensures that all manufacturing processes comply with health and safety regulations;
trains employees as needed in the concepts of lean manufacturing tools; creates and maintains a visual management system across the plant to report and manage value‑stream performance metrics related to IE and associated action items at value stream level; collaborates on safety procedures, quality & delivery improvement, and cost reduction projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering
- 3 years experience as an industrial engineer in an electrical/electronic consumer goods manufacturing setting, involving MS Office, MRP Systems, and design software
- 2 years experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies
- 2 years experience in Project Management involving complex projects
$115,000 - 120,00 per year
