Our staff accountants assist account managers with the bookkeeping and accounting needs of our clients that would have traditionally been done in the office.
Position ResponsibilitiesThe staff accountant will perform all of the daily tasks related to accounting for NPCM's outsourced clients, with support and oversight from other professionals on NPCM's staff.
The Staff Accountant Will- Record cash receipts and disbursements in general ledger
- Record credit card purchases and work with staff on persevering proper back-up for transactions
- Maintain schedules for liabilities and assets with guidance from other NPCM staff
- Assist in the preparation of supporting documents for the annual audit
- Enter the payroll journal entries into the accounting software using the documentation provided
- Experience working in Quick Books, Xero, or other general ledger software
- General understanding of bookkeeping and processes used in non-profit organizations
Ability to communicate with clients or vendors as needed - Ability to work independently and problem solve with general supervision
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- You must be located within the Eastern or Central Time Zones to be considered for this role.
