Field Service Environmental Technician

The Opening

We are currently seeking an Emergency Response Environmental Technician to be based out of our Sterling Heights, MI office to assist with hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials.

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following PROS - Pause, Review, Observe, Start
• Performs non-emergency and emergency response activities involving hazardous materials
• Performs labor intensive activities in all weather conditions throughout the shift
• Works in atmospheres with low clearances, confined spaces, and at heights
• Operates and works around light and heavy equipment including skid steers, forklifts, and pressure washers
• Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on equipment
  
  Maintains warehouse, stocks supplies, and performs building maintenance
• Available for emergency response work after-hours and on weekends
• Travel is required
• Maintains an excellent driving history

• Pass a Pre-Employment drug screening, criminal background check, and physical exam
• Legally eligible to work in the United States (Verified through E-Verify)
• Willingness to obtain OSHA (40 hour) Certification
• Ability and willingness to work in a physically intensive role
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including respiratory protection
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to interpret and follow written and oral instructions and assignments
• Clean driving record

Environmental experience, hazardous waste experience and certification (i.e. OSHA 40hr HAZWOPER), CDL, heavy equipment operation and maintenance experience is a plus.
