The Home Depot is seeking candidates who will provide customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service at the point of sale. Cashiers process Checkout and/or Return transactions, monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area, and proactively seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities. They follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink. A Head Cashier may position Cashiers and support them by expediting price checks, approving Point of Sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.

They provide first-level escalation for customer issues and assist in supervising, coaching and training Front End Associates.

Preferred qualification for a Head Cashier is 1+ years of Cashier experience.

• Provide fast, friendly, accurate, and safe customer service at the checkout and related areas.
• Process Checkout and/or Return transactions and monitor the Self-Checkout area.
• Seek product knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities.
• Follow policies and procedures to minimize shrink.
• Assist in the supervision, coaching and training of other Front End Associates; participate in training new Cashiers.
• Escalate customer issues as the first point of contact and support various cashier operations as a Head Cashier (price checks, POS approvals, markdowns).
