Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
  • Strong knowledge of the Ford Production System/Quality Operating System
  • Language skills as required by the job
  • Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in FORD+ (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
  • Deliver continuous improvement through lean strategies and innovation
  • Drive/coach and teach the various problem‑solving tools driving towards excellence

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.

Responsibilities
  • Champion the Quality Operating System (QOS)
  • Member of the Plant Operating Committee and keep OCM informed of status on Quality issues.
  • Develop and mentor plant personnel on the QOS, coach and train on the appropriate use of standard Quality Tools
  • Champion and deliver the plant Policy Deployment Process for Quality.
  • Manage quality processes and coordinate ongoing review / update of the measurement systems and mandatory process requirements based on customer feedback (GQRS / Warranty).
  • Champion the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly Quality cadence for the plant (Daily Quality Reviews, PRT Report Outs, PQR’s, PDQR, AQM and SAR reviews)
  • Manage department direct and indirect manning
  • Develop and maintain an effective Quality communication process to support VRT's/PRT’s management and sister plant(s)
  • Assure Government Regulations, Safety, and Inspection Audits and critical function system reviews are conducted and reported to prevent campaigns.
  • Champion the Incoming Quality activity, and the QR2 System utilization.
