- Work closely with plant personnel to build and maintain a safety incident‑free environment.
- Act according to the Amsted Automotive Group Ideal Behaviors of Performance Driven, Passion for Innovation, Customer Focused, Energize People, Think Team! Live Team! and Uphold Trust & Integrity.
- Enhance the preventive maintenance program for the company’s critical production assets to ensure that they are maintained and in working order at all times.
- Initiate maintenance work orders as required and prepare cost justifications for major repairs or renovations.
- Perform feasibility reviews and monitor project status.
- Maintain records regarding equipment, servicing, and safety.
- Ensure the maintenance department is staffed with competent personnel in all positions and that their abilities are identified, developed and utilized.
- Prepare and present goal & objectives monthly metrics and provide corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure safe working procedures and proper 5S practices are adhered to at all times.
- Prepare schedules for all maintenance and select engineering projects.
- Maintain/revise required OSHA Safety Plans and provide training in safety, health and environmental.
Physical Requirements
- Excellent manual dexterity with the ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds frequently.
- Work may require extended periods of sitting, standing, lifting, bending, stooping and doing repetitive motion tasks.
- Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service the lights and ceiling fans.
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with continuous exposure to noise.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in plant maintenance.
- Excellent problem solving skills and root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with workforce, suppliers, and customers.
- Must be able to work required overtime if needed.
- Bachelor’s or better in Industrial Engineering or related field.
