Hardware Display Engineer

The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and validation of electrical components and subsystems for advanced display products. This role supports programs from initial concept through production, ensuring high-performance, reliable, and ruggedized hardware solutions.

• Design and develop electrical components and subsystems for display-based products.
• Support hardware development from concept through production, including requirements analysis, schematic design, debugging, testing, and qualification.
• Lead the design, development, integration, and validation of electronic hardware products and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs).
• Develop detailed documentation including circuit board specifications, LRU-level specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and comprehensive test plans.
• Support component selection, procurement activities, and oversee prototype hardware builds.
• Identify design issues, implement engineering fixes, and coordinate cross-functional solutions.
• Develop innovative concepts supporting advanced technology initiatives, IRAD efforts, proposals, and demonstration units.
• Maintain detailed engineering records, tracking design updates, debugging progress, and hardware/software revisions.
• Contribute to ruggedization efforts for display LRUs intended for demanding environments.

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with display technologies including LCD, OLED, and LED.
• Experience with display architecture, design principles, and video distribution techniques (preferred).
• Hands-on experience with display metrology methods and measurement equipment.
• Experience with LED bezel design.
• Knowledge of LCD backlight design and characterization.
• Familiarity with touchscreen interface technologies.
• Experience with Head-Mounted Display (HMD) systems is a plus.
• Ability to use engineering development and test tools effectively.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline (equivalent experience considered).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in display design or closely related roles.
• Familiarity with military standards and environmental test requirements preferred.
• Must meet ASR requirements to work inside vehicles.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime and weekends to meet program milestones.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across interdisciplinary teams.
• Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities.
