Job Title:
Project Manager
We are seeking a Project Manager who will play a vital role in supporting our client's plant and operations managers by overseeing engineering tasks and ensuring timely production of control panels. As a liaison between engineering and manufacturing, you will manage internal schedules, interact with customers, and provide updates and quotes for upcoming projects.
Responsibilities- Assist plant and operations managers with project management responsibilities.
- Ensure timely completion of engineering tasks for production and manufacturing.
- Act as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Manage internal workload schedules and interact with customers to provide progress updates.
- Quote and estimate upcoming jobs and projects.
- Ensure customer timelines and deadlines are met.
- Lead a team of Controls Engineers and guide them through various project phases.
- Communicate effectively with customers and suppliers to address ongoing issues.
- 7+ years of project management or controls engineering experience.
- 5+ years of experience in controls engineering.
- 5+ years of proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with project management, controls, estimating, and managing timelines.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in the automation industry.
- Knowledge of control panels and their applications.
- Experience managing controls work and estimating controls-type jobs.
- Experience managing engineering, build, and installation schedules.
- Previous customer interface experience.
The work environment consists of various settings, including a casual office with individual cubicles and an interactive atmosphere.
Travel is NOT required for this role.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sterling Heights, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $47.00/hr.
