• Design electrical wiring harnesses including component selection for connectors, backshells, sleeving, braiding, sealants, boots, transitions, and related elements.
• Determine harness layout through vehicle and branch points for multi-branch harnesses.
• Design to environmental requirements including temperature, shock, vibration, submergence and exposure to harsh chemicals.
• Design harnesses in Capital Harness System (CHS) software, specifically Harness XC, Capital Logic and Capital Topology.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• 5-7 years of professional engineering experience.
• Experience with harness design is highly desired.
• Ability to balance cost, schedule, and technical priorities.
• Occasional overtime and weekend hours may be required to complete critical tasks.
• Experience with Microsoft Visio desirable.
• Experience with Capital Harness System (CHS) software, specifically Harness XC, Capital Logic and Capital Topology is desirable.
• Experience with Pro-E Creo desirable.
• Experience with NX desirable.
• Basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use Engineering Development and Test Tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong multi-tasking skills.
• Strong record keeping skills.
