Job Overview

MSR Technology Group (DBA Infomatics) is an Inc 500/5000 corporation with 7 years of consistent growth. We are urgently looking for a Firepower Hardware Engineer for an onsite role in Sterling Heights, MI
. This is a long‑term contract position.

• Design, develop, integrate, and release systems, subsystem assemblies, and components for advanced weapon systems.
• Develop articulating, locking, or sliding provisions that meet Human Factors requirements.
• Provide technical guidance with Design Services to create models, installation, and detail drawings; support concurrent engineering efforts.
• Support procurement and on‑site prototype build/integration activities and resolve related issues.
• Read technical drawings, perform tolerance stacks, and ensure GD&T compliance.
• Run finite element analyses (ANSYS, Nastran, LS‑DYNA) for design validation when possible.
• Perform failure analysis and offer technical direction for corrective actions.
• Write technical reports and modification instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of professional mechanical engineering experience, preferably with ground combat vehicles.
• Strong CAD modeling skills (preferred CREO), experience with Teamcenter or similar PLM systems.
• Working knowledge of GD&T, FEA (ANSYS, Nastran, LS‑DYNA), and Microsoft Office.
• Self‑starter, highly motivated, and proficient at working in shop, plant, and test‑lab environments.
• Ability to travel to military installations and work occasional weekends, evenings, and overtime.
• Eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance (non‑U.S. citizens may not be eligible).
• Ability to work in an integrated product team and communicate across functional organizations.
