This is a full-time, on-site Senior Estimator role located in Sterling Heights, MI. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates, reviewing project specifications and requirements, and collaborating with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams. The individual will also play a critical role in pre-construction planning, identifying potential risks, and ensuring that project budgets align with client expectations.
As a senior team member, this role involves mentoring junior estimators and contributing to the continuous improvement of estimating processes.
- Strong proficiency in preparing cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and analyzing project specifications
- Proven experience in collaborating with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
- Analytical skills for risk analysis and financial modeling in pre-construction planning
- Excellent communication and written skills for clear and effective interaction with team members and clients
- Experience supervising and mentoring junior team members
- Proficiency with construction management software and estimating tools
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in construction estimating, with expertise in healthcare, industrial, commercial, or institutional projects
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
