Associate Research Scientist

• Develops and applies research models in the appropriate field. Prepare reports, papers, publications, and presentations.
• Enhances, modifies, and applies various research and models using Visual Basic, Access, FORTRAN, ArcGIS, and Arc View, APEX, SWAT, WASP, and EFDC.
Application (calibration and validation) of research models to confirm acceptability of model results and to use model predictions to inform decisions
• Project development and proposal development for future funding opportunities.
• Assists in preparation of reports, papers, and publication for funding sources.
• Responsible for the analysis and presentation of results from models
• Manages the assigned projects.

• Ph.D. in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience Environmental Science, Engineering or related field
• Six years of related work experience
• Advance research skills and technical expertise
• Ability to simulate and develop environmental and environmental models
• Ability to effectively utilize a computer and applicable software to create databases, perform statistical analyses, present data and perform other computer related tasks
• Ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others

Position is located on Tarleton State’s off‑campus office in Stephenville, Texas with normal work hours from Monday to Friday; from 8am to 5pm.
