Senior Software Engineer

Garmin Stellenbosch is the R&D team behind Garmin’s award-winning consumer radar products, such as:

• Varia Bike radars, such as the bestselling RTL
  515 and the brand new Rear Vue 820
• Golf launch monitors such as Approach R10 and Approach G82
• Ballistic chronographs such as the Xero C2
• Motorcycle blind spot monitors such as the Zumo R1

We're looking for candidates for two Senior-level software roles:

• A Senior Software Engineer focused on embedded C/C++
• A Senior
  Radar Algorithm Engineer focused on radar signal processing and algorithm development in a MATLAB environment

In both roles, you'll play a leading role in a local software team developing the radar components of cutting-edge products, in collaboration with an international, multi-disciplinary product team.

We also have junior/intermediate versions of the two roles available.

For both Senior roles, you'll need the following:

• A Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or similar
• 5+ years of industry or postgraduate experience in a relevant field
• Demonstrated ability to solve programming problems with high-quality code
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, to operate successfully within a local and international development team
• Ability to work independently, and also provide guidance to team efforts

For the Senior Software Engineer role, you'll need strong proficiency in embedded C/C++.

For the Senior Radar Algorithm Engineer role, you'll need strong proficiency in data analysis, signal processing and algorithm development in MATLAB, Python or similar.
