- Develop and manage relationships with international customers, importers, and retailers.
- Manage the full sales process: pricing, contract negotiation, order placement, documentation, and delivery coordination.
- Monitor market trends and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the procurement, logistics, and quality assurance teams to ensure consistent product quality and on-time delivery.
- Ensure all export documentation complies with international trade and phytosanitary regulations.
- Attend local and international trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.
- Travel overseas to visit and negotiate with clients in target markets.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to the company’s strategic growth in new and existing markets.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and market feedback to management.
- Stay updated on seasonal production volumes, pack-out figures, and market demand cycles and market prices
- Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience in the fresh produce export industry, preferably with pome fruit and citrus.
- Existing relationships with key export markets such as the Middle East, Far East and Asia are highly advantageous.
- A BCom degree in International Trade will be an advantage.
- Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English
