Kendrick Recruitment is recruiting for a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join a luxury restaurant in Stellenbosch. This role is suited to a passionate culinary professional who thrives in a high‑end dining environment and supports the Executive Chef in delivering exceptional cuisine.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Executive Chef in the daily management of kitchen operations
• Assist with menu development, food preparation, and service delivery
• Ensure consistently high standards of food quality and presentation
• Supervise, train, and mentor junior kitchen staff
• Maintain hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times
• Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising wastage
• Step into the lead role in the absence of the Executive Chef

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef in a luxury restaurant
• Solid culinary skills and a passion for fine dining
• Strong leadership and communication abilities
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
• Professional, reliable, and team‑oriented approach
