Head of Trade Marketing

Our client is a leading wine wholesaler in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. They are looking for a strategic and results-driven Head of Trade Marketing to lead the trade marketing function across a portfolio of iconic wine brands. Reporting to the Brand Portfolio Director
, you will set the vision, strategy, and execution standards that drive brand growth and category leadership.

• Minimum 5–7+ years in trade marketing leadership, in wine or beverages FMCG
• Proven experience in POSM management, trade execution, and in-store marketing strategy
• Strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Proven data-driven decision maker with commercial acumen and strategic thinking

• Lead the Trade Marketing team to deliver excellence in execution and innovation
• Develop and execute trade marketing strategies that elevate client brands at every shopper touchpoint
• Collaborate with Clients, Sales, and Marketing to translate brand strategies into actionable trade plans
• Oversee POSM, in-store activations, and trade campaigns to maximize impact and ROI
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and shopper behaviour to inform strategy
• Track and evaluate promotional effectiveness, in-store execution, and commercial performance
• Ensure alignment across formal and informal trade channels to drive sales and category growth
