Job Description:

• Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term strategies.
  • Identify growth opportunities and oversee their execution.
  • Ensure alignment between operational goals and the organisation’s strategic direction.
  • Responsible for the full management function of the business.
• Financial Management
  • Manage profitability, cashflow, and budgeting processes in collaboration with the Financial Manager.
  • Evaluate risks and implement appropriate risk-management measures.
  • Monthly reporting relating to profitability, debtors, and management of operational expenses.
• Operational Management
  • Manage processes, policies, and procedures to maintain quality and compliance.
  • Oversee all operational functions to ensure optimal efficiency.
• People Management
  • Manage organisational structures, role allocation, succession planning, and talent development in collaboration with the HR department.
  • Ensure effective communication, support, and performance management within the department.
• Client Management
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with clients, suppliers, and external partners.
  • Ensure service levels are continuously improved to optimise client satisfaction.

• A relevant degree in Business Management, Logistics, Commerce or similar.
• An MBA will be advantageous.
• Minimum of 15 years’ industry knowledge and 10+ years’ experience in a senior management role, preferably within logistics, transport, or an operational environment.
• At least ten years’ experience in a senior leadership role where performance was measured against achieving predetermined profit targets.
