Role OverviewWe are looking for a Learning Technologist to support the delivery and continuous improvement of digital learning programmes operating within a learning technology environment. The role focuses primarily on the operational management of learning platforms and programme environments while contributing to improvements in how systems and tools across the learning ecosystem work together.
You will collaborate closely with programme delivery teams to support course setup, learner access, and platform configuration within Canvas LMS, while helping identify opportunities to streamline processes through improved systems use, automation, and integration.
This role is well suited to someone with strong learning technology experience who is comfortable working with LMS platforms and programme delivery, and who has an interest in the technical aspects of learning systems such as automation, scripting, and AI enabled workflows. The role offers opportunities to deepen technical skills over time while working within a collaborative learning technology environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and support programme delivery within Canvas LMS including course setup, learner enrolments, permissions management, and platform configuration.
- Provide day to day learning technology support for programme teams by troubleshooting learner access issues, platform problems, and system related queries.
- Maintain operational reliability of learning platforms by monitoring system usage, identifying issues, and coordinating resolutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational workflows and reduce manual processes across learning and delivery systems.
- Support the integration and alignment of systems used within programme delivery environments so that platforms work effectively together.
- Contribute to the development of automations and system improvements using established standards and governance approaches.
- Assist with initiatives exploring AI enabled workflows, scripting, and technical solutions that improve delivery efficiency.
- Help maintain clean and consistent data across platforms including naming conventions, metadata standards, and system alignment.
- Maintain clear documentation for systems, workflows, and automations that support delivery teams.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience working with Learning Management Systems, preferably Canvas LMS.
- Experience supporting online learning programmes or digital learning delivery environments.
- Proven ability to manage course setup, learner enrolments, permissions management, platform configuration, and learner support.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for maintaining and updating LMS content or platform components.
- Experience troubleshooting digital learning platforms and supporting system integrations.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse operational workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Interest in automation, integrations, or technical workflow improvements within digital learning environments.
- Familiarity with APIs, workflow automation tools, or system integrations is advantageous.
- Experience working with collaboration or delivery tools such as Canvas, Zoom, Slack, Click Up, Freshdesk, or similar platforms is beneficial.
- Exposure to AI tools, data workflows, or automation platforms is considered advantageous.
