We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented ITGC Specialist to join our compliance and assurance team. The successful candidate will work with a UK client on multiple engagements, focusing exclusively on IT General Controls (ITGC) testing for UK and US companies. This role is ideal for a Chartered Accountant with a strong background in audit and IT controls, looking to specialise in the ITGC space.

• Perform ITGC testing across areas such as access controls, change management, logical security, and IT operations.
• Document and evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of ITGCs.
• Support walkthroughs and testing to confirm IT systems and environments comply with SOX and internal requirements.
• Identify control gaps, deficiencies, and opportunities for remediation or process improvement.
• Deliver clear, accurate, and detailed work papers and testing documentation.
• Work closely with client IT, audit, and compliance teams to coordinate testing and reporting.
• Ensure all work is performed to high quality standards within deadlines and budgets.
• Stay current with IT risk, IT governance, and controls best practices.

• Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA(SA), ACA, or ACCA) with 3 years’ articles completed

• Strong background in audit with specific experience in ITGC testing

• Understanding of SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
• Technical knowledge of IT environments and systems, with exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with IT and business stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
