MarketingTechnology Manager MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
The Manager:
Marketing Technology (Mar Tech) is responsible for managing the operational delivery, optimisation, and integration of the organisation’s marketing technology platforms and solutions. The role ensures that marketing systems, marketing databases, mobile apps (Mediclinic Baby), automation, analytics, and customer data platforms are effectively utilised to enable personalised, compliant, and data‑driven marketing initiatives. This includes overseeing daily Mar Tech operations, managing a team of Program Coordinators, ensuring vendor and stakeholder alignment, and embedding governance standards (e.g., POPIA, ASA).
The position provides expertise to maximise ROI from marketing technology investments and supports the strategic objectives of the Marketing and Digital functions.
- Mar Tech Platform Management:
Oversee and optimise the performance, integration, and utilisation of marketing technology platforms (CRM, mobile apps (Mediclinic Baby), campaign automation, analytics, CMS). Ensure alignment with marketing and business objectives. - Data Strategy & Governance:
Establish and maintain data quality standards and data management across all Mar Tech platforms. Ensure data integrity, standardisation and seamless integration between systems to enable personalised customer experiences and accurate reporting. - Team Leadership & Coordination:
Lead and develop Program Coordinators, ensuring delivery of program activities, adherence to timelines, and continuous skills development. Foster a collaborative and high‑performance culture. - Compliance & Governance:
Ensure Mar Tech operations adhere to internal governance, POPIA, ASA, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements. Maintain audit trails, vendor compliance, and risk management frameworks. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to align Mar Tech initiatives with business needs. Act as key liaison for system enhancements and issue resolution. - Performance Measurement & Reporting:
Establish KPIs for Mar Tech effectiveness, provide analytics and insights to measure ROI of campaigns, and prepare reports for leadership decision‑making. - Budget & Vendor Management:
Manage Mar Tech budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships. Ensure cost‑effective procurement and optimal use of marketing technology investments.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Information Systems, Business, or related field (NQF

- Honours Degree (NQF
8) in Marketing, Information Systems, or Digital Strategy. Certification in project management (Agile, PRINCE2, Scrum). - Vendor‑specific Mar Tech certifications (e.g. Microsoft, Salesforce, Hub Spot, Adobe Experience Cloud)
- 5+ years’ hands‑on experience with marketing technology platforms (CRM, marketing automation, leads and contact management, segmentation, analytics tools).
- Prior experience in regulatory compliance frameworks (POPIA, GDPR, ASA). Team leadership and vendor management experience.
- Private healthcare industry exposure. Experience with advanced data analytics, marketing ROI measurement, and integration with enterprise systems (ERP, clinical, CRM).
