Position: Tasting Room and Events Coordinator Wine Farm (Kromme Rhee Road)

Overview

Our client is a working wine farm and is looking for a reliable, organised Tasting Room Manager who will also be responsible for the booking, coordination, and on-site management of events and functions.

Working Hours
  • Tuesday to Friday: 10:00 – 17:00
  • Saturday: 10:00 – 16:00
  • Availability for events is required; additional hours worked for events will be compensated separately.
Key Responsibilities Tasting Room Operations
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the tasting room.
  • Ensure a welcoming, well-organised environment for guests.
  • Coordinate wine tastings, including bookings, timing, and staff scheduling.
  • Supervise tasting room staff and ensure consistent service standards.
  • Handle guest enquiries, bookings, and feedback in a professional manner.
Events And Functions
  • Manage event enquiries, bookings, and confirmations.
  • Coordinate logistics for events such as private tastings, functions, weddings, and corporate events.
  • Be present on event days to ensure smooth execution and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Liaise with suppliers, service providers, and internal staff as required.
Administration And Compliance
  • Manage tasting room stock levels, including wines and merchandise.
  • Maintain accurate booking records and basic reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor licensing requirements.
What We’re Looking For Essential Requirements
  • Experience in a tasting room, hospitality, or customer-facing environment.
  • Proven ability to manage bookings, schedules, and day-to-day operations.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working weekends and during events when required.
  • Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to multitask and problem-solve.
Advantageous
  • Experience coordinating events or functions.
  • Familiarity with wine farms or hospitality operations in the Stellenbosch area.
  • Basic computer skills (email, bookings, spreadsheets).

  • Friendly and professional with guests and colleagues.
