Houseman

Hotel at a Luxury Estate close to Stellenbosch is looking for an experienced Houseman.

Duties:

Clean and tidy up hotel rooms, hallways, patios/balcony and outside furniture
Dust and polish various surfaces and furniture inside the rooms, entrance , bathroom and patios outside
Vacuum carpets, sweep, and mop floors and stoep areas
Empty trash bins
Change linens and towels and replace toiletries
Clean windows
Wipe dust from shelving/cabinets
Wipe skirting, headboard and other furniture with damp cloth
Clean coffee machines
Collaborate with the housekeeping team to complete the daily cleaning schedule
Restock cleaning supplies in the hand cart before you depart from duty
Report any issues that require maintenance
Hand in checklist of lost and found and or defects in rooms
Execute and other tasks that is needed as per operational procedures from time to time.
Reports missing / found articles, damage or merchandise problems to the housekeeping supervisor and managers.
Always responds in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other colleagues.
Handles any tasks assigned by the supervisors as and when needed.

Requirements:

2+ years luxury hospitality experience
Well-groomed with a pleasant personality
Physical mobility and stamina required,
Ability to follow instructions,
Detail-oriented,
A professional attitude is required,
Ability to work independently.
