ACCOUNTANT (AGRI) - R 600k pa - STELLENBOSCH, CPT

We're looking for a detail-driven Accountant to take ownership of all trade-related financial activity - from procurement through to export and final settlement. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and understands the commercial flow of an agri- business.

Based in Stellenbosch
, you'll work closely with both finance and operational teams to manage cost structures, streamline reporting, and bring clarity to every stage of the trade cycle. • Record and reconcile all trade-related transactions
• Monitor cost of goods sold (COGS), including grower payments, packaging, and logistics
• Manage inventory movements and valuations
• Prepare profit and loss statements by shipment, client, and product

• Process grower contracts and invoices
• Track delivery volumes, quality, and price adjustments
• Ensure accurate and timely supplier payments

• Maintain accurate records of export sales, exchange rate variances, and shipping costs
• Reconcile grower contracts with forward exchange contracts (FECs)
• Match export documentation to financial records
• Collaborate with logistics and operations teams for accurate financial processing

• Prepare monthly margin reports and variance analyses
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Assist with audit preparations and ensure regulatory compliance

• Maintain and improve ERP systems
• Develop and document internal controls and procedures

• BCom in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in agriculture or export sectors
• Solid understanding of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and foreign currency transactions
• Advanced Excel skills
• Familiarity with export regulations is advantageous
