A high-growth multi-entity group requires an experienced Senior Accountant to take ownership of the full bookkeeping and accounting function of the business. The company operates as a diversified group with core business lines in investment holdings, services, manufacturing, and rentals.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience and a strong understanding of accounting processes, reconciliations, and reporting. A financial qualification and professional membership to a regulatory body will be highly valued, along with experience in a Group environment, related party, investment holdings, and/or family office experience.

Duties and Responsibilities- Manage the full bookkeeping function from source documentation to trial balance.
- Prepare and reconcile bank accounts, debtors, creditors, and general ledgers.
- Compile monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
- Process payroll and maintain accurate employee records using Sage Payroll.
- Compile and manage forecasting, budgeting, cash-flow planning.
- Manage Statutory reporting, i.e. VAT, PAYE, SDL, CIPC, etc.
- Assist with month-end and year-end procedures.
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Maintenance of fixed asset register and reconciling the assets to the general ledger.
- Responsible for implementing financial processes and controls.
- Perform any other reasonable task required by the company.
- Tertiary Degree, Diploma, Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or similar.
- Minimum 15 years of bookkeeping and accounting experience.
- Completed SAICA, SAIPA or CIMA articles a definite benefit, along with a professional qualification.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls.
- Proficiency in Xero, Sage Payroll, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-growing, dynamic environment.
- R600,000 to R720,000 per annum, depending on experience.
