The Student Justice Centre is a part of the Human Rights and Equity (HRE) Office at Brock University. HRE is a resource for all Brock community members, which includes students, staff, and faculty. HRE addresses human rights, harassment, and discrimination that is connected to the Ontario Human Rights Code. For more information about the HRE office, applicants are encouraged to review the . HRE
sees great value in the peer-to-peer leadership model and student advocacy, as student-led leadership creates a more inclusive, safer campus for everyone.
The Student Justice Centre at Brock University seeks five (5) peer assistants to join our team to empower students to become agents of positive change within their communities and beyond. The SJC Peer Assistants will provide a welcoming and safe space for students to gather, connect with like-minded individuals, and engage in social and political discussions, education, and activism. Peer assistants will be offered a 35-week contract of 10-12 hrs/week from August 2026through April 2027 at Brock University's main campus in St.
Catharines.
Successful candidates are expected to be available for in-person program delivery (workshops,drop-insand events) at the St. Catharines campus. Some evenings and weekends will be required. Team members will report to and work daily with their supervisor, the Student Justice Coordinator.
