About the Role

Grounds Crew Summer Students are full-time returning Brock University students responsible for assisting the full-time staff to ensure the appearance and maintenance of the 400-acre campus landscape is well maintained.

Responsibilities
  • Grass cutting, trimming, weeding, picking up litter and garbage removal.

Note: The crew generally works a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, from the beginning of May to the end of August.

Key Skills and Experience
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including adverse conditions;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Returning full-time Brock University student;
  • Experience with landscaping and landscape maintenance tools and equipment (an asset);
  • Valid Driver’s License.
Compensation
  • Hourly wage ($17.75)

* As is defined by the CUPE 1295 Student Collective agreement effective May 2025.
