Production Worker IEssential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for loading unwrapped, primary packaged and secondary packaged products into applicable packaging.
- Responsible for building pallets based on customer requirements.
- Must be able to count properly and have a keen eye for quality.
- Position involves standing for long
506 periods of time, doing repetitive work. - Committed to ensuring that the products produced meet all food safety and quality requirements.
- Must adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety Policies.
- Responsible for Food Safety and reporting any non-compliance issues to their immediate supervisor.
- Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when required.
- Comply all Sun Opta Quality and food safety standards, HACCP, GMPs, Organic, GFCO, SQF, Kosher certificate and customer requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring the work area is clean and organized.
- The backup for this role is an alternate Production Worker.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Minimum High School.
- Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.

- Good verbal, written and multi-tasking skills, can do attitude.
- The location for this role is St. Davids, Ontario.
- 100% of the work is performed in a production environment.
- Must be available to work weekly rotating shifts: days, afternoons, nights.
- Must be available to work occasional weekends as needed.
- Must be able to stand/walk for majority of the shift.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or with a team.
- Competency in performing multiple tasks.
- Ability to organize and prioritize.
- Must have reliable transportation (location is off bus route).
