Electrical Engineer of Record

We are a leader in creating aging in place communities for active older adults and have made our mark in Ontario, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. With strong industry partnerships and two affiliated manufacturing facilities producing pre‑fabricated wall panels and custom millwork packages, our group controls the entire construction process from design concept to completion.

We are seeking an  Electrical Engineer of Record  for a large‑scale construction project located in St. Catharine’s, Ontario.

The role:

This position holds accountability and legal responsibility for the integrity of electrical systems of a project. They are comfortable attending to construction worksites as a regular part of the role. They attest with their official seal that the designs, calculations, and documents for their portion of the work are compliant with all applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements.

What you will do:

Seal and certify engineering documents, including drawings, reports, and specifications, which certifies their compliance and accuracy.

Perform or oversee work performed by others as it relates to electrical design and analysis including calculations for electrical distribution and equipment specifications.

Coordinate with other disciplines, such as the structural and mechanical engineers, to ensure all systems work together and avoid conflicts.

Act as of contact during the construction phase to address unforeseen issues or provide clarification on design intent.

Ensure the electrical design complies with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Your experience and background:

Must be an Electrical Professional Engineer licensed in the Province of Ontario.

5+ years of experience as engineer of record for construction of multi‑level seniors care facility.

Has firm understanding of the design‑build construction projects.
