DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The Emergency Department welcomes all patients with a wide variety of medical conditions ranging from non-critical to emergent medical needs. Emergency Department staff are certified to care for critical patients including trauma and children. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, age-appropriate, direct and indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process within the Oregon State Board of Nursing's scope of practice. It will consist of 12-hour shifts (Day and Night Shifts Available)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics. General understanding of age-related differences in caring for all patients and possess personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others with a non-judgmental attitude.
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks and appropriately adapt to diverse and high-risk situations to offer the best possible care to patients.
- Ability to manage time in an organized fashion, planning and prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
- Current unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Oregon
- Healthcare Provider Level BLS
- Emergency:
- ACLS, TNCC and PALS required within six months of hire.
- NRP and ESI within 6 months of hire
- One year of experience preferred.
