Position Purpose
The Quality Specialist is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving company and regulatory quality standards within a production manufacturing environment. This role requires strong knowledge of industry and governmental quality regulations and plays a critical role in ensuring products, processes, and systems consistently meet established quality, safety, and compliance requirements.
Quality Standards & Compliance- Ensure products and processes adhere to established quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations, certifications, and company quality policies.
- Stay current on regulatory changes that may impact quality systems and manufacturing processes.
- Conduct quality inspections and audits of products, processes, and systems.
- Perform visual inspections, measurements, and documentation reviews to identify deviations.
- Plan, develop, and execute tests to evaluate product performance, functionality, and reliability.
- Analyze test results and identify defects, trends, or areas for improvement.
- Manage and maintain quality documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and quality records.
- Maintain and update Quality Management System (QMS) documentation to reflect process or regulatory changes.
- Ensure document control practices are followed accurately and consistently.
- Identify, document, and manage nonconformances and quality deviations.
- Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Validate the effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and process quality.
- Support validation and verification activities for new or improved processes.
- Validate and document the impact of process changes on product quality.
- Establish, monitor, and analyze key quality performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare quality reports and communicate results to management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials and components meet quality requirements.
- Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and performance evaluations.
- Provide quality‑related training and education to employees on standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Work closely with production, engineering, R&D, and other departments to support a holistic quality approach.
- Assess and manage risks related to product and process quality.
- Collect, analyze, and respond to customer quality feedback and complaints.
- Use customer input to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
- Ensure quality processes align with environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.
