. • Monit or production activities to eliminate delays and ensure adherence to production and shipping schedules
• Ass ist in carrying out production objectives at the lowest cost, consistent with the organization's quality requirements
• Assure safety and product quality while improving production procedures
• Coordinate workflow with the various departments involved
• Report damaged and defective equipment to management
• Tr ain other employees in day-to-day procedures
• M aintain quality/quantity standards regarding output
• A nalyze work orders to estimate working hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needs
• I nterpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assign duties
• P lan the flow of materials through department according to work orders
• I nterface with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met
• I nspect and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications
• D irect workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products that fail to meet standards
• E stablish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules
• D evelop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
• S uggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew
• A nalyze and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems
• M aintain time and production records
• A ssist with capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times
• Other duties as assigned

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree in related field (preferred)
• 3+ years of direct supervisory experience (preferred)

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $66,000 to $105,600 in VA. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
