Pay- $50 – $63 per session

Responsibilities- Provide physical therapy services and interventions under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist in accordance with the physician‑approved plan of care.
- Observe, record, and report the patient’s response to treatment and any change in condition to the supervising PT, physician, and other clinical staff.
- Provide resources for future needs and promote wellness and prevention.
- Document supervisory activities in the patient’s medical record.
- Monitor and document the patient’s response to physical therapy intervention.
- Participate in patient care conferences, services, chart audit activities, quality improvement activities including OBQI and OBQM, and peer‑review activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of information relating to the PT‑client relationship.
- Make recommendations for follow‑up care in coordination with the agency that admitted the patient and utilize other agency care providers to assist with referrals to community resources.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Current license to practice as a physical therapy assistant in the state where you are assigned to work.
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
- One year related physical therapy experience for PTAs entering home health care to ensure knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
- If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participation in a residency program.
- Current CPR certification.
