CREW LEADER role at Bird Dog Traffic Control

The Traffic Control Flagger reports to the Facility Manager and holds the following responsibilities:
Reports to Office Location. Stand and safely manage traffic flow through active work zones while holding a stop/slow paddle and using radio communication. Complete all required paperwork in a neat and efficient, timely manner. Keep company vehicle clean and organized. Comply with all Company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. Position temporary work zone equipment using warning signs, traffic cones, barrels, etc.

Perform any other work zone general duties as instructed.

• Position temporary work zone equipment using warning signs, traffic cones, barrels, etc.
• Perform any other work zone general duties as instructed.

• High School diploma/GED preferred.
• Must meet company employment standards and/or those of the Company's customers with regards to background checks.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Flexible availability to include overtime and possible weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass JM TEAGUE training program.
• Traffic control work environments will vary making it necessary to tolerate weather conditions, such as rain or snow.
• Employees may be exposed to gravel dust, changing temperature, etc.
• Must obtain a negative drug test result prior to hire.
• Have the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds while loading trucks and setting up/tearing down work zones.
• Crew Leaders/Drivers must have 3 years of driving experience with a clean MVR for 3 years.
