A Caring Alternative, LLC is CARF-accredited and CABHA certified, offering a range of services including Assertive Community Treatment (ACT). The organization is Trauma Informed and serves multiple counties in North Carolina.
Role And Responsibilities- Provide service coordination (case management) for an assigned group of clients including coordinating and monitoring the activities of the individual treatment team.
- Provide individual supportive therapy and symptom management, ensuring immediate changes are made in the treatment plans as clients need, and advocate on behalf of client rights and preferences.
- Organize and manage the system of getting medication to clients and integrate medication administration into each client’s treatment plan.
- In collaboration with the team psychiatrist, coordinate, schedule, and administer medical assessments of client physical health, make appropriate referrals to community physicians for further assessment and treatment, and coordinate psychiatric treatment with medical treatment.
- Clinical approach as part of the ACTT team consists of medical, behavioral health, and rehabilitation professionals using a team-based model.
- Ability to perform tasks on the computer including Microsoft 360, Excel, Word and other basic programs.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance coverage and reliable transportation.
- Pass criminal background check and other regulatory checks.
- Provide proof of your education.
- Registered Nurse License (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Nurse Practitioner.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with adults with serious mental illness and a working knowledge of psychiatric medications, regardless of team size.
