Position OverviewAt AUTEC Car Wash Systems
, we take pride in building premium, American‑made car wash equipment that’s known for quality, durability, and performance. Our Assembly Technicians are the hands behind that excellence – responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing the systems that become the backbone of our customers’ operations.
This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and teamwork. You’ll work closely with other technicians, engineers, and quality inspectors to ensure every system leaving our facility meets the high standards of the AUTEC brand.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components according to blueprints, work orders, and schematics.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to build car wash systems and sub‑assemblies accurately.
- Perform basic wiring and plumbing as part of equipment assembly.
- Verify proper fit, function, and alignment of assembled parts before final inspection.
- Conduct functional testing to confirm system performance and identify adjustments or rework needs.
- Communicate any material shortages, design issues, or process improvements to the Supervisor or Engineering team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in accordance with AUTEC’s 5S and safety standards
. - Support cross‑training across other areas of production as needed to meet company goals.
- Adhere to all company policies, quality procedures, and safety requirements

- High school diploma or GED required;
technical training in mechanical or electrical assembly preferred. - 1‑3 years of experience in equipment assembly, manufacturing, or mechanical maintenance.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions, and wiring diagrams
. - Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or move throughout the shift.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain is a plus.
- Quality & Safety Focus: Ensures every build meets AUTEC’s high performance and safety standards.
