- Arrive each day Monday – Friday to the shop at 4:15 a.m. unless noted otherwise.
- With a “Can Do” attitude effectively and efficiently manage your assigned teams to accomplish the task given each day.
- Ensure optimal team performance across all areas:
- Conduct Quality, Procedural, and Biosecurity Audits for all Services (Moving, Vaccinating, Sorting)
- Update Audit Reports upon completion.
- Implement and oversee effective training programs.
- Assist in the development and enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Perform daily field evaluations with designated teams.
- Monitor and uphold quality control standards.
- Ensure correct bird handling in alignment with animal welfare guidelines.
- Enforce strict adherence to biosecurity measures.
- Continue to develop and encourage a Safe work culture and environment.
- Build and develop professional relationships with customers, growers, and vendors that you will deal with on a regular basis.
- Fill out Work Week schedule in the absence of the Operations Manager.
- Constantly evaluate each Supervisor and conduct Quarterly Reviews.
- Review the Performance and Skills of each Team member quarterly with the Supervisor.
- Coordinate with Transportation Manager and Operations Manager on which crews will be doing upcoming spike moves.
- Order vaccine for specific customers when necessary to ensure we keep a proper amount of inventory on hand.
- Keep up with each customer’s vaccine inventory.
- Identify and disciple upcoming leaders for future leadership roles (Team Lead, Supervisor, etc.) using our Mission, Vision, and Core Values as a guide.
- Assist in maintaining proper employment for each Team.
- Identify and execute Process Improvement projects.
- I.e., wheel unloader mechanism.
- Work with the office staff to ensure each team is properly equipped with necessary tools to work each day.
- Fill in for a Team Supervisor, Sorting Specialist, or Team Member on an as‑needed basis.
- Continue developing a scalable model for Future Growth.
Duck Poultry Service is a family-owned company that has been serving the poultry industry since 1942. Providing services to multiple poultry companies located in the North Georgia area. A recent addition to Duck’s Poultry Services Inc. is Duck’s Poultry Transport LLC, a subsidiary company providing turnkey solutions to our customers’ pullet transportation needs. The services provided include loading, transporting, and unloading live poultry at breeder farms.
Picking up eggs from breeder farms and delivering them back to hatchery.
