Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Tasks include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical/electrical issues, and documenting work. Must follow safety protocols, read technical documents, and communicate effectively with supervisors.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on equipment including Tube Mills, finishing equipment, overhead cranes, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and electrical panels.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
• Comply with company safety policies, procedures, and industry standards while working in a safe and professional manner.
• Document maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Maintain adequate inventory of replacement parts and supplies.
• Promptly report any issues requiring corrective or preventive action.
• Clean up spills and handle waste disposal according to environmental and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding job status and completion.
• Support maintenance needs at both Statesville and Troutman locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• Required:
  
  Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Highly Preferred:
  Strong electrical skills.
• Preferred:
  Machining, mechanical, and fabrication skills.
• Computer literacy required; ability to use CMMS systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and work orders.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
