Overview

Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech), PRN role at Iredell Health System.

• Performs CT procedures and assists radiologists at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical skill.
• Responsible for CT scanning procedures and related quality control monitoring as assigned.
• Performs CT scans of various anatomy of the body to produce clinically diagnostic images to assist the physician in the diagnosis of disease and injuries.
• Ensures patient comfort and safety during procedures.
• Responsible for CT scans of newborn, infant, pediatric, adolescence, adult and geriatric patients.
• Responsible for the availability and sterility of supplies used for the assigned area.
• Operates CT equipment, develops films and prepares CT room for procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology. CT Registry preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Work is fast paced. Visual acuity, hearing, stooping, reaching, and kneeling required.
• Average physical demands involve moving/transporting patients, lifting accessory equipment and pushing wheelchairs or stretchers.
