Furnace Material Handler C- 1st shift

As a Furnace Material Handler your goal is to use your expertise to be the go‑to person for all things furnace and melting metal. You’ll also be responsible for setting up the furnaces to ensure top‑notch quality products are manufactured.

• Keep materials and inventory moving by resolving incoming material exceptions and discrepancies.
• Partner with other teams to quickly solve issues related to metal.
• Monitor production flow and furnace/metal levels to ensure materials are available when needed.
• Support safety, quality, and production requirements to keep operations running smoothly.
• Work cross‑functionally to support department needs, manage customer rates, and expedite incoming materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory records.
• Complete basic equipment repairs and perform preventive and general maintenance under general supervision.
• Jump in where needed and perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum Education:
  
  High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of 1.5 years' relevant working experience to include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic skills

• Must be able to use computers for email communications and data entry for production/receiving systems

• May be required to lift or carry products, parts, and/or other materials of various sizes and weights. (Frequently 5 - 25 pounds), (Occasionally 25 - 75 pounds), (Rarely greater than 75 pounds)
• Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
• Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
• Ability to use power/vibrating tools over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
• Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
• Exposure to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full shift (8-12 hours)
• Exposure to heat for a full work shift (8-12 hours)
