Overview
As a Furnace Material Handler your goal is to use your expertise, to be the go-to person for all things Furnace and melting metal. You'll also be responsible for setting up the furnaces to ensure top-notch quality products are manufactured.
Responsibilities- Keep materials and inventory moving by resolving incoming material exceptions and discrepancies.
- Partner with other teams to quickly solve issues related to metal.
- Monitor production flow and Furnace/Metal levels to ensure materials are available when needed.
- Support safety, quality, and production requirements to keep operations running smoothly.
- Work cross-functionally to support department needs, manage customer rates, and expedite incoming materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Complete basic equipment repairs and perform preventive and general maintenance under general supervision.
- Jump in where needed and perform other duties as assigned.

- Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent - Minimum of 1.5 years’ relevant working experience to include;
Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic skills
- Must be able to use computers for email communications and data entry for production/recieving systems
- May be required to lift or carry products, parts, and/or other materials of various sizes and weights. (Frequently 5 – 25 pounds), (Occasionally 25 – 75 pounds), (Rarely greater than 75 pounds)
- Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
- Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
- Ability to use power/vibrating tools over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
- Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
- Exposure to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
- Exposure to heat for a full work shift (8-12 hours)
