Overview

Position Overview:

The Production Technology Specialist will support the development and implementation of innovative technologies and automation processes within the manufacturing environment. This role is vital for enhancing production efficiency, ensuring product quality, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of new vehicle models, ensuring they align with market needs and company standards.
  • Support automation initiatives related to new technologies and processes to improve production efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Help manage Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards, including 5

    STAR metrics.
  • Evaluate proposals for new orders, assessing feasibility in relation to production capabilities.
  • Contribute to factory rationalization efforts aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Collaborate on national project initiatives related to vehicle development and manufacturing processes.
  • Assist in the design and production of fixtures, containers, and JIGs to facilitate new model introductions.
  • Support maintenance and repair activities for production equipment and containers.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing manufacturing capabilities through new and robotic attachments.
  • Participate in recycling initiatives to minimize costs and promote sustainability.
  • Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Analyze man-hour (M/HOUR) metrics to enhance labor efficiency.
  • Support improvements in assembly line equipment management and manufacturing processes.
  • Contribute to pilot projects and automation initiatives in painting and coating processes.
  • Maintain documentation related to quality assurance and process improvements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in production technology, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Familiarity with automation technologies and process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
