Job SummaryThe Department of Middle Grades & Secondary Education is now accepting applications for a pool of part-time faculty positions to support undergraduate Integrated Sciences courses for the 2024‑2025 academic year. These positions are on an as needed, semester‑by‑semester basis.
Responsibilities- Teaching undergraduate courses in ISCI 2001 Life/Earth Science or ISCI 2002 Physical Science.
- Applicants may be asked to teach in various modalities (face‑to‑face, hybrid, and online).
- Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
A minimum of a master's degree in Science (Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, Geology for ISCI 2001 or Physics and/or Chemistry for ISCI 2002) or a closely related discipline with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology or Geology (ISCI 2001) or Physics and/or Chemistry (ISCI 2002) is required.
Preferred Qualifications- A minimum of three years teaching experience in P‑12 schools.
- Classroom instruction experience in higher education.
Commensurate with experience. This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
